Learning and Creating During the Holiday

ORACLES STUDIOS held Winter Class 2025 from 16–19 December 2025 as part of our seasonal holiday learning activities.

The program combined Mandarin practice with drawing, painting, and creative projects, bringing language and creativity together in a different format from regular weekly classes.

Why Combine Language and Art?

Mandarin and ART develop different skills, but both can encourage children to observe, communicate, make decisions, practise, and express ideas.

Winter Class was designed to give children an opportunity to experience these learning areas within a more playful year-end setting.

Rather than focusing only on completing an activity, the program aimed to keep children actively involved in the learning and creative process.

A Different Kind of Holiday Experience

Activities involving language and hands-on creative work can provide opportunities for children to:

• continue practising during the school break;
• explore ideas through art and projects;
• use creativity alongside structured learning;
• build confidence in participating and trying; and
• experience Mandarin and ART beyond the regular class routine.

The purpose was to make the holiday period both enjoyable and meaningful.
